A medium-sized phasmid species reaching 8–10 cm, very hardy and easy to care for, making it ideal for beginners.
Its diet mainly consists of bramble (Rubus), but it can also accept rose and similar plants.
Do not release any animal into the wild, whether native or not, as it may disrupt the ecosystem balance.
It does not require frequent handling and is a calm species with no harmful defensive mechanisms.
Its enclosure should be at least three times the height of the animal. It reproduces easily through parthenogenesis, so males are not required.
The optimal temperature range is 20–26 °C, with 60–70% humidity.
