Its diet consists of olive and privet.

It is recommended to use gloves when handling, as it can spray significant amounts of organic acids that may cause irritation upon contact with mucous membranes.
Its enclosure, like any stick insect, should be three times the size of the animal’s length. It only reproduces if a male and female are present.
The optimal temperature is around 25 °C, with 75% humidity.
